Today make-up and nail shopping day. This weekend I have a party, Hard Bass, and I want a flawless skin and amazing nails.

I purchased the following products from Dashica Beauty Shop

I also went to the pharmacy for Vichy Dermablend, a amazing "high"coverage foundation.

Today before a wanted to put my make up on I thought how to show you all a quick and easy natural look. I don’t do this often because I like dark eyeshades more. With this post I will also mention the products that I used, so it’s a review and tutorial in one.

As you can see at my picture without any make-up on, I got a lot of blemishes and some recently healed pimple spots (I hate them!). This natural look helps out to cover them mostly.

Setting your base:
First apply some day cream as you always do. I used Matriderm Light from Forever Young.

If you don’t use any day cream, you should try it out. It helps to keep your foundation last longer.

Normally after putting my day cream on I use a primer, but I ran out of that so with this look I only used the day cream.

How I apply my foundation:
1. Apply foundation to your cheeks, forehead, black circles (if you have any, I do have them a bit) and chin using a foundation brush, sponge, or clean fingertips. Blend the foundation all the way to your natural hairline with long, light strokes. I mostly use my fingertips.

2. Continue blending over the jawline and onto your neck to achieve a natural, seamless look. Check your face and neck in natural light to make sure the foundation is completely blended in all areas.
3. If under-eye circles or red spots remain, do not add more foundation; it can look heavy and cakey. Instead,
try a concealer (I didn’t use one in this post).

The foundation that I used is from Catrice, Photo Finish, shade “Sand beige”. It has medium coverage, lasts all day and is very cheap (€ 5,99 at the drugstore).

Flawless finish:
A light even dusting of loose powder sets foundation and concealer, giving your face more natural and long-lasting  finish. I used a powder of Make-Up Studio, Natural Silk Perfection, shade S0500.

Dip a puff, powder brush or kubaki (just what you like the best) in the loose powder. Shake off excess to avoid uneven distribution, then apply powder over entire face and neck.

If you got dark circles you can puff your eye bags twice, it works for me.

After all of this I used a eyebrow pencil of Essence (02 – Brown) to draw the hairs of my eyebrows, because I still have 2 treatments of PMU to go.

For the eyeshadow, I used the 180 color palette of Dashica Beauty Shop.

Then apply your mascara, I used the Rimmel Volume Accelerator (amazing mascara!).

For creating a nice and glossy radiance on my cheeks I used a bronzer of P2, 010 – Tahiti Paradise.

For your lips you can use lipstick or whatever you like to wear. I only used a little bit of lipgloss.

Now your look is finished!

My lowlights

In the post about my PMU you can see my old haircolor, below I have black hair and on top of my head I had high- and lowlights. I wanted to go darker with lowlights, it gives you the effect that your hair is much thicker.

I had no help at home so I used the comb technique and it worked out just fine. The color I used was black
coffee, it's a cheap-ass brand but it works out amazing for me.

Instructions

Things You'll Need

  • Hair clips
  • Bowl
  • Color brush with Pin-tail
  • GlovesComb
  • Crème color (desired color)
  • Crème developer
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
    • 1
Divide your hair into four sections by creating one part that runs from the middle of the forehead to the middle of the nape area and one part that runs horizontally, ear to ear. Hold each section in place using hair clips.
    • 2
Mix equal parts of the crème color and developer in the mixing bowl. Blend with the color brush until the color is smooth and even throughout.
    • 3
Section off a 1,5 cm horizontal section of hair. Apply color to the hair along the roots, you can choose how much centimeters from the root (I applied  about 2 cm from the roots).
    • 4
Continue in an alternating pattern, moving from section to section, from the top of the head to the lower hairline.
    • 5
Process the hair for 20 minutes after the last section. Check the color of the first section and eyeballing the result. If you like the color, continue to the next step. If not then process for an additional five minutes.
    • 6

Then start combing it through the desired sections of your hair. Repeat this procedure throughout your hair.
  • 7

When you are done with the application of the hair lowlights, you must keep it in for 25 minutes (my total application time was 45min). Different hair color brands have a different time limit for the lowlights to leave on. So, make sure you read the directions carefully and leave on the color for the said time.

  • 8
    Rinse, shampoo and condition.

Note: Most of the hair color kits today include hair color conditioners. If you are lucky to have one in your kit, you must apply it to your hair and then rinse. It will soften your hair and add some glam shine!

Foiling is a technique used by most hair care professionals to highlight and lowlight hair. Highlighting is lightening select strands; lowlighting is darkening select strands. Foiling involves sectioning off the hair and applying color to certain sections of hair that are protected by the foil and folded away to prevent the color from touching the rest of the hair. Foiling is a little tricky to perform on yourself, so having a helper is recommended.

Moderately Challenging

Instructions

Things You'll Need

  • Hair clips
  • Pin-tail comb (short comb with long metal tail used for sectioning and weaving)
  • Foil
  • Scissors
  • Bowl
  • Color brush
  • Gloves
  • Crème color (desired color)
  • Crème developer
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
    • 1
Divide your hair into four sections by creating one part that runs from the middle of the forehead to the middle of the nape area and one part that runs horizontally, ear to ear. Hold each section in place using hair clips.
    • 2
Tear out a long sheet of foil and cut it into 12 cm strips (or use professional foil!). Mix equal parts of the crème color and developer in the mixing bowl. Blend with the color brush until the color is smooth and even throughout.
    • 3
Section off a 1,5 cm horizontal section of hair. Weave the pin-tail comb through the section. Grasp the hair on top of the comb with your fingers and allow the hair that was weaved under the comb to fall free. Place a strip of foil underneath the hair you are holding. Hold the hair flat down on the foil to hold the foil in place.
    • 4
Apply color to the hair along the length of the foil using the color brush. Fold the sides of the foil in over the hair, and fold again in half. Clip the foil up and out of the way using a hair clip. Create another 1,5 cm section, and pin it up with the previously foiled section. Weave the next 1,5 cm section, place foil and apply color. Continue in an alternating pattern, moving from section to section, from the top of the head to the lower hairline.
    • 5
Process the hair for 20 minutes after foiling the last section. Check the color of the first section by removing the foil and eyeballing the result. If you like the color, continue to the next step. If not, replace the foil and process for an additional five minutes.
    • 6
Remove the foils. Rinse, shampoo and condition.
